SY-4 Syrup Lander

In RY 886, preparations began to send Spudnik X-27 to Pancake, a medium-sized planetoid in the Breakfast system. Four years of planning led to a successful launch and two-month journey to the crew’s destination.

The SY-4 Syrup Lander successfully navigated the turbulent atmosphere to touch down on Pancake. The crew disembarked to take batter samples and to fish in the famous Waffle Lakes. There is continued debate about whether intelligent life ever existed on Pancake, and if the atmosphere could support Potatoes.
